We are Bob and Brenda Merrick, owner operators of Merrick Made.

My name is Bob, and I am a 20-year retired Navy veteran. After serving my country, my “retirement job” has been working on a golf course.  After moving back to my hometown it was time to start a new chapter in my life. I have always loved working with my hands, and woodworking has become my passion. I take great pride in my work and strive to create items that are not only functional but also beautiful. 

When I am not in the workshop, you can find me on the golf course or out on the water fishing. I love being outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. although my journey into woodworking began as a hobby, it has since grown into a small business. I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day and to share my passion with others. 

Hi there, my name is Brenda. The first half of my working journey was in the medical field, but in recent years, I have rediscovered my love for all things crafting, sewing, painting and more. Although born and raised in Washington state, I felt a pull to move.  After a visit to my husbands home town in the fall of 2019 I had an overwhelming feeling that this is where we needed to be.  By December 2019 we had sold our house, packed up and moved across country.  Best decision ever.

As a small business owner, I take great pride in the items that I create. Each item is made with love and care, and I strive to create products that are not only beautiful but also functional. Whether it's a hand-sewn quilt or an upcycled piece of furniture, I believe that every item has a story to tell.

In addition to crafting, I also have a love for gardening. There's something so satisfying about getting your hands dirty and watching something grow. I love experimenting with different plants and techniques, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see the fruits of my labor come to life.
